Surviving Without a Kitchen

On top of making a record this summer, Jacob and I decided to tear-out our kitchen and start over. It may sound a little impulsive, but we've actually been planning on doing this since we moved in last February. It's kind of a mess right now, but you just wait - it's going to be splendid:

Generally speaking, I like to camp. But I never thought I'd miss running water so much!! Washing dished in our little bathroom sink is getting really old and I'm also getting tired of walking and sitting and sleeping in a layer of dust. If I could use only one adjective to describe this portion of the removel it would be: 'griddy'.
On top of it our mircowave died the week before we started tear-out, so we've been eating lots of PB+J, hotdogs and brats on the grill and unfortunatelly, we've given in to our last resort: McDonald's. We justify it by walking there...buuut, it's only a block away. So, it probably isn't cancelling out all the terrible things we're putting in our bodies.

Market Day in Des Moines

Market Street Media Foundry is hosting their very first Market Day. It's a bazaar-like market full of all kinds of lovely goods, including art, vintage and found items aaaand handmade goods. This is where UrbanPosture comes in. Leslie and I were invited to bring our screen-printed goods to share and sell. We are really looking forward to this weekend and the newly posed opportunities.

Also, I am dying to share some new developments for UrbanPosture, but will wait until it everything is in place.

Take 2...

For those of you who don't know, my husband is Jacob Tyler Wolfgang: Water-heater salesman by day, and songwriter by night...and I get to play keyboard with him when possible. We released our first EP in May, 2007. As of last week, we officially started our first full-length at Logan Christian Audio. This is something Jacob and I have been working towards for quite some time. We had actually booked a studio in Benton Harbor. MI over 2 years ago with the intentions of recording this full-length. The week before our start date, the engineer lost the lease on his building and refunded our deposit. It was pretty disappointing at the time, but looking back it was probably the best thing that could have happened. Soon after, Jacob wrote "Bless our Burning Hearts" and we recorded the EP in Osage, IA. Funny how things work out....

So, anyway we are thrilled to (FINALLY!!) be in the studio. And working with Logan has been a treat!

UrbanPosture on Etsy

Leslie and I FINALLY got our office accessories listed on Etsy. You can check them out here. T-shirts, coasters, clocks and tea towels are coming soon. Some of these items are available at Goodposture and Urbanestics, but we plan to consolidate in the near future.

Altered Book Project

Several weeks ago, I started this project at Leslie's DIY night and finally finished it today. Huray!
