This weekend...

...we went to ALLSPICE to taste tested some amazing vinegar and oil combinations...

...and threw an East-side Party in honor of the Iowa State Fair. (Yes, that is a cake made of hoho and twinkies. And yes, those are chicken nuggets on toothpicks.)

Fondue and Friends

Had a great lunch today at Trostel's Dish today with an old friend. Dessert is always my favorite part! This really made me want to have my own fondue party. Who's in?

summer pizza

When I was in Brooklyn with UrbanPosture this summer we had the most delicious pizza at some random restaurant and I've been craving it ever since. I finally had a chance to make it this weekend:



Thin floury crust, olive oil, buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto, fresh tomatoes and basil (from our garden). YUMMY!!!

Felt Food

A few months ago, I was inspired by a www.lookmamamadeit.etsy.com to make felt food for little Mia and Sophia, my two favorite little girls in the whole world. It's not quite as awesome as Silvia's, but I think it'll work!
